This June, IDSA teamed up with the Illinois Swimming Senior Committee for the 2026 Senior Summer Trip — a four-day elite training experience at The Bolles School in Jacksonville, Florida, headlined by two-time Olympian Olivia Smoliga.
For four days, senior athletes lived and trained inside a true high-performance environment, pairing in-water and dryland sessions with conversations led by Olivia on the mental side of the sport. Under Head Coach Max Michael (WILD) and Assistant Coach Mike Laurich (ACAD), swimmers were challenged to train with intention, compete with presence, and take a closer look at what it really means to build a champion. It was four days of hard work, real growth, and a group of athletes leaving with more than just faster swims.
